  Mission Statement 

   Our mission is to be an outstanding teaching organisation to equip learners with the required standard of learning to approach assessments and working life.

A message from the Founders

Choosing your service provider is never an easy one. Education is expensive and the learner would wish that they were obtaining good value for money in the form of quality education. This would include dedicated and knowledgeable lecturers, informative lecture material and excellent administrative support.

We acknowledge and respect the sacrifices most learners are making to achieve their objectives and therefore commit ourselves to assist in any way possible with regards to your tuition.

Background to Professional Distance Education cc

The members have the combined experience of over fifty years servicing learners.

What are we doing?

 We offer face-to-face part time tuition for the CIS and ACCA programmes.

We have also have a Service Level Agreement  to supply study material for students who opt for the Independent Study Option (distance) through the Institute.

We have recently been awarded accreditation to offer the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA).

We currently offer lectures on Saturdays from Glenwood High School.

 Financial Commitments

Because we are a small organisation, we have attempted to keep our fees as affordable as possible and will continue to do so in the future.

Should learners have difficulty in meeting their commitments in terms of paying for their studies with us, we unfortunately do no offer any kind of bursaries or financial assistance, but suggest that students approach Edu-Loan who are very helpful and have various structures available. Application forms are available should you require them.

There have been significant changes in the CIS syllabus and we would be happy to assist you in ascertaining where you fit in to the new International Qualifying Scheme.

What courses do we offer?

For classes to run, we require a viable number of students to cover lecturing, printing and venue costs. Should there be insufficient demand, we will be unable to offer the affected subjects. It is therefore advisable that should you feel you need lectures for a subject, you liaise with your study groups and establish that there will be enough learners requiring the subject, thereby guaranteeing the subject offering.

Our classes run on Saturday mornings at the University of KwaZulu-Natal.

Fees include all study material excluding text books which will need to be purchased from the suppliers where applicable. Students registered for a subject are also entitled to attend the revision workshop at no extra cost.

As from 2009, we will not be including Institute fees. Students will have to be pay these separately to the Institute. This has become necessary due to the high level of administration required in this process.

 

For Financial Accounting II and III, registration will take place in January and June. The course is however annual and you will be prepared for the October examination session.

 

The Institute runs examination sessions in May and  October each year. Our courses are structured to accommodate the Institute requirements.
